Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching strikeouts, Grinding Metal has you covered. Week 20 is here, so let's start things off.

Ross Stripling, SP, Toronto Blue Jays
Since re-entering the rotation for the Blue Jays in mid June, Stripling has a 2.14 ERA with a 5-2 record. Most recently in the month of August, he's allowed just one earned run over 12.1 innings pitched. He doesn't walk a lot of hitters and get's a lot of whiffs out of the strike zone. His next start is against the Los Angels on Sunday August 28.

Nick Madrigal, 2B, Chicago Cubs
After missing the month of July due to a groin injury, Madrigal has returned to hit .300/.382/.333 during the month of August thus far. He won't hit for power, but singles are certainly acceptable. He's hitting leadoff for the Cubs and could certainly contribute to the runs scored category for your fantasy team. He's owned in about 25% of leagues.

Harold Ramirez, OF, Tampa Bay Rays
After missing a month due to a thumb injury, Ramirez is back for the Rays and looking to pick up where he left off. On the season, he's hitting .331/.375/.451 with 5 home runs. The 27 year-old usually finds himself hitting in the middle of the order for the Rays and currently has a hit in every game since returning from the injured list on August 16.

Albert Pujols, 1B/DH, St. Louis Cardinals
The veteran slugger has been scorching hot over a two week period, hitting 7 home runs in a ten-game span. However, most of the power comes against left-handed pitchers, and with the Cardinals expected to face a string of right-handed pitchers in the upcoming stretch - it's important to keep the goals realistic. Additionally, he could end up shifting back to a platoon against the stretch of right-handed pitchers.
