Grinding Metal examines potential waiver wire additions that can assist your team during the fantasy baseball season. From home runs to pitching wins, Grinding Metal has you covered.

Vidal Brujan, 2B/OF, Tampa Bay Rays
After hitting .259/.344/.471 in Triple-A Durhram, the 23 year old finds himself in the outfield for the Rays during the second half. He may not produce giant numbers, but he's fast and could tally some stolen bases and runs scored. He's owned in just about 50% of leagues, so there's still time to scoop him up.

Tony Gonsolin, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers
Since returning from injury, Gonsolin nows finds himself pitching every other fifth day for the Dodgers. Due to injuries and off-field issues, the Dodgers' rotation is thin. Goose continues to build up innings, but has a 2.13 ERA across 25.1 innings this season. He hasn't allowed more than an earned run during any of his outings this year - starting or relief. Gonsolin is the easy add, with David Price left for deeper leagues.

Heath Hembree, RP, Cincinnati Reds
The veteran righty appears to be the closer of choice heading into play after the All-Star break. He has converted 6 of the 7 save opportunities, while holding a 4.80 ERA and striking out 51 hitters over 30 innings. Saves are saves, so pick Hembree up and ride him until he's removed from the role.

Garrett Cooper, OF/1B, Miami Marlins
After an injury plagued month of June, Cooper has hit the month of July on fire. He's hitting .429/.568/.768 with 3 home runs and 6 RBI. On the season, Cooper is hitting .291/.387/.481 with 9 home runs and 32 RBI. Although his strikeout % is higher than league average (26.9%) - he more than makes up for that with a walk % of 12.2%. He's severely overlooked in the fantasy baseball world, so be sure to give him a look.
